Supported File Types and Encodings

You can upload a variety of input file formats through Segna:

- .csv
- .xlsx
- .xls
- .xlsm
- .xlsb
- .odf
- .odt
- .json
- Google Sheets

CSV files can also have a variety of delimiters.

Segna will automatically parse your file when you upload it with the start-job API.

Segna will automatically try to detect the file encoding of the file, so you don't need to worry what encoding your file has!

While Segna supports most encodings, there is a possibility that your encoding is not yet supported - if so, please reach out at [email protected] and the team at Segna will be able to easily add it in.

Use a UTF-8 encoding for the uploaded file if you want to be doubly sure the encoding is supported!
